The Zip archive format is one of the most popular archive format (not only on the Web) and was originally written by Phil Katz, the creator of PKZip by PKWare, Inc.

Note that Paquet Builder does not support the last features introduced with PKZip5 and WinZip9: AES encryption, large Zip files and Deflate64 are not supported currently. These features are planned in future incoming updates.
