System requirements for packages

Minimal configuration:

  • Intel Pentium® 133 or higher.
  • 128MB RAM (or higher)
  • 800x600 screen resolution (optimal)
  • Microsoft Windows® 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, NT4 (Service Pack 3),  2003 Server, Vista (any edition) or higher.

Size limit: Paquet Builder 2.9 supports creating Self-Extracting packages up to 2 GB, but larger archive files (without SFX functionality) can be created.

Additional files required

Paquet Builder uses some additional third-party files that are installed during its Setup:

  • Cabinet.dll that provides an interface to the code that creates/reads Cabinet .CAB archives. This file is necessary both for compressing/decompressing files: it means that packages also require it (please click here for further information). Copyright by Microsoft Corporation.
  • 7za.dll that provides an interface to the code that creates/reads 7-Zip .7z archives. This file is only required by Paquet Builder: packages are stand-alone (they contain their own decompression code). Visit the Paquet Builder's homepage and look for Compression code.
