We’re excited to release HTML Executable 2025. After a lot of work, this new version is ready and brings some powerful new tools to help you create and protect your ebook and digital publications for Windows. Our main focus was on adding new ways to handle DOCX documents, boosting performance, and making the software even more reliable for you.
What is HTML Executable for?
If you’re new here, HTML Executable helps you turn your websites, HTML, DOCX documents, PDFs, and other documents into professional Windows apps or ebooks. It’s all about giving you the tools to protect your work from being copied and to sell it securely with licenses, trials, and activation keys.
What’s New in HTML Executable 2025
This release is packed with useful upgrades. Here are the highlights:
- View Word Docs Directly in Your App. The biggest news is the new integrated DOCX viewer. You can now include
.docxfiles in your projects, and your users can view them perfectly without needing Microsoft Word installed. And because the files are never extracted to disk, your documents stay safe. - Faster Builds, Smaller Files. We’ve switched to the Zstandard (Zstd) compression algorithm. For you, this means your projects will compile faster, and the final
.exefile will also work faster. It’s a win-win. - Modern Code Signing. You can now sign your applications using Azure Trusted Signing or with Microsoft SignTool. This helps ensure your apps are trusted by Windows and your users, which is crucial for smooth distribution.
- Easier Table of Contents Creation. If you’re moving a project from an old help system, you can now import
.HHCfiles to build your table of contents instantly, saving you a lot of manual work. - And of course… A lot of smaller improvements and bug fixes to make everything run more smoothly, including an updated PDF viewer engine for better compatibility, updated documentation, new DOCX sample and much more.
How to Get the Update
➡️ If your maintenance is active, the update to HTML Executable 2025 is free. You just need to download the HTML compiler installer, install the software, and then launch it. It might prompt you to activate your license—simply enter your activation code as usual.
➡️ If your maintenance has expired, you can renew it directly on your ‘My account‘ page with a discount for being a returning customer.
