While you are downloading the file, please read the following instructions:

Once your download is complete, run the GCONVSET.EXE installer file (made with Paquet Builder) and follow the instructions displayed step-by-step by the Setup Wizard.

If a previous version is found, the Setup Wizard will upgrade it automatically. If it fails, you will be asked to remove this previous version manually.

GConvert 5.2 cannot be installed on the same machine as a previous version.

If you are a registered user, your license for a previous version (5.x) will be recognized. For 4.x upgrades, take a look at our upgrade conditions.

In order to work correctly, GConvert requires the following system components:

Recommended configuration:

• Microsoft Windows® 7, Vista, XP, 2008, 2003, 2000, ME, 98, or higher.
• 128 MB RAM or more for large icon libraries.

GConvert 5.2 is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7).

No support for Windows 95 is guaranteed; however, it does not mean that the program will not work on this operating system.

For Windows 95, the following components were required:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01+ installed at least, not necessary set as the default web browser.
• yyou must have the COMCTL32.DLL update version 4.72 or higher, and Microsoft Tahoma and Verdana fonts. You can find download links to the last updates on our website: see below.

In all cases, Microsoft Windows Installer version 2.0 or higher is required. The Setup Wizard uses the Windows Installer service (MSI) to perform safe modifications to your computer. The Microsoft Windows Installer is an installation and configuration service that ships with any versions of Windows except 98: Windows 98 users must download the MSI installer, if it was not already installed.

To repair or uninstall GConvert:

• start the GCONVSET.EXE file
• or select the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel, then highlight GConvert and click on Remove or Maintenance (it may change with different versions of Windows).

The Windows Installer service then allows you to repair a damaged feature (for example, if you have accidentally deleted a vital file) or simply to uninstall GConvert from your system.

Note: please be sure to quit all applications before removing GConvert.
