Icon libraries are useful icon storage files. GConvert can easily create them as explained below:
To create a brand new icon library:
- Open the first icon file (.ico) that you would like to add to your icon library.
- click the "Library|Convert Current File to Icon Library" menu command.
- Then enter the filename of your output icon library and press OK.
- Add the remaining icons to your library using the "Library|Add Icon(s)..." menu command: in the shell open dialog box, select the icon file(s) to be added to your library and press OK.
- Select "Library|Save changes back to Library File" in order to save the library to the hard disk.
To convert an existing icon source file to an icon library:
- Open the file containing icons that you would like to convert into an icon library. This can be an executable, a DLL or even a Zip archive.
- click the "Library|Convert Current File to Icon Library" menu command.
- Then enter the filename of your output icon library and press OK.
- Follow the same steps as above to add icons.
